The Mooch Memorial Fund was established in 2009 by Drs. Annemarie and Samuel Yoder, owners and veterinarians of Silver Maple Veterinary Clinic.

Chelsea received a surgical procedure to prevent recurrent cystitis and bladder stones

The Fund was created in memory of our housecat, Mooch, and to help our community and their four-legged family members receive the veterinary care they need.

We regularly host fundraising events like Pet Pictures with Santa, holiday bake sales, rabies clinics, and dog walks that directly benefit the Mooch Memorial Fund, and we are now officially a 5013c nonprofit organization.

The Mooch Fund strives to eliminate barriers to veterinary care by:

Providing scholarships for urgent veterinary care
Advocating through education for pet wellness and promoting humane treatment
Providing low cost surgical services, vaccines, spay /neuter clinics, microchipping with a mobile vet/outreach unit to reach our under-served and under-resourced communities in Berks, Lehigh and Schuylkill Counties
Providing scholarships to support future veterinary technicians and doctors
